Personal and Community Wellness
Each morning, we begin the day with some very simple yoga-inspired stretches and a mindful moment to help us feel balanced and focused as we start our work together. We also incorporate the Toolbox social-emotional tools as a way to reduce stress and help students with mood regulation and the ability to cope with and manage challenges.
I practice mindfulness myself and find that a happy, calm teacher sets the tone for a happy, calm classroom in which learning flows.
